The Flames heated up early as they scored three runs in the first inning including a pair of RBI singles from Sophomores Logan Mathieu and Will Wagner for a 3-0 Liberty lead.

After a four inning stalemate, the Ospreys got on the board in the fifth with an RBI single by Senior Chris Berry and a triple by Junior Tanner Murphy that scored two to tie the game at three.

The Flames countered in the fifth with an RBI single from Senior Tyler Galazin that plated two for a 5-3 Flames lead.

Berry cut the deficit to 5-4 in the seventh as he grounded out to second which allowed Senior Alex Reynolds to score.

Mathieu padded the lead to 6-4 in the eighth with a sacrifice fly to right to score one and cemented the win.

Worth Noting

Redshirt-Senior Evan Braband earned the save for the Flames after three shutout innings of work.
