For this year’s Fall Concert, Lupe Fiasco, Manchester Orchestra and Fort Stories will be performing Nov. 1 at 7:00 p.m. at the Coxwell Amphitheatre, said Osprey Productions Director John Chwalisz.
“[We’re} trying to appeal to as broad of an audience as we can,” Chwalisz said. “We’ve gotten a lot of positive feedback [on the event].”
Manchester Orchestra is an indie rock band with a big following in Florida and online, Chwalisz said. “It’s one of those bands where you kind of know their songs but not their name,” he said.
Fort Stories is the winner of this year’s OP Battle of the Bands. They are a 7-piece indie folk-rock band from Jacksonville. Their 2013 album, “Mean Winter”, is available at fortstories.bandcamp.com.
He said OP hopes to put on a concert students can remember.
The concert is free for all UNF students with an Osprey1 Card. Tickets for all other guests are $15 and can be bought through a link on the event’s Facebook page.
According to the Facebook page, parking is free on campus after 5:00 p.m. Concessions and beer can be purchased with cash. Beer will be $2.
