The North Florida’s women’s track and field team had several outstanding performances at the Samford Invitational.
Junior Eden Meyer dominated in the 3000m, setting a personal best time and a Complex Facility meet record of 9:31.16. Meyer’s time marked the fastest time of the year in the ASUN conference.
Senior sprinter Tianna Hearn posted a school and personal record during the 60m hurdles. Hearn clocked in with 8.96 in the qualifying round and 8.97 in the finals. Hearns also ran in the 400m and set a personal record time of 58.59.
In total, UNF set 13 personal records, one meet record and one school record at Birmingham Crossplex on Feb. 10.
UNF women’s track and field team will travel to Winston-Salem, N.C. Feb. 23-24 for the ASUN Championships.
