UNF Tennis sweeps championships in ASUN Tournament

It was an afternoon of victories for both men’s and women’s tennis.

As the top-seed, men’s tennis grabbed its second-ever championship with a 4-1 victory over the Stetson Hatters. Their last title was claimed in 2016.

The Ospreys picked up the first two points before the Hatters responded with their only point of the game.

North Florida earned two more points to seal the title.

During the Ozzie’s, student-athlete award show former player Jack Findel-Hawkins said the team was looking to bring the title home after falling short the year before.

Women’s tennis holds the title for the fourth straight year with a 4-1 win over the Stetson Hatters.

The program now has seven titles under their belt.

Like their male counterparts, the team struck first before they added to the scoreboard.

Now the teams head to the NCAA Tournament that starts May 11. Their opponent will be revealed May 1.
