UNF student Jesse Martinez asked for a local disposition at his pre-trial on Tuesday, June 26 meaning he asked for clarification regarding the outcome of his case and what it would entail.

Police arrested 22-year-old Jesse Martinez on April 9 after he allegedly threatened to leak a student’s nudes online if they did not perform sexual favors, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Police charged Martinez with intent to compel and unlawful use of a two-way communication device. However, he pleaded not guilty at his arraignment trial on Wednesday, May 30.

Martinez is currently in jail and his next pretrial is scheduled for Thursday, July 26.
