Perkins strides toward NCAA Nationals

In the NCAA Track & Field East Preliminary meet, Junior Noah Perkins recorded his fastest time ever in the 5K event with a time of 14:02 as he finished in sixth to punch his ticket to NCAA Nationals.

Perkins is the first UNF male runner to make it to NCAA Nationals in the school’s D1 history.

Two other Ospreys also competed at the East Preliminary meet as Freshman Timothy Doyle competed in the 800-meter event but finished thirty-ninth with a time of 1:51.

Freshman Jassiel Torres competed in the High Jump event and reached 2.06 meters, finishing in twenty-ninth place.

Perkins prepares for Nationals which will be held on June 5-8 in Austin, Texas.
