The Ospreys were leading 1-0 before the match was cancelled

The UNF Women’s Soccer team was looking to continue their two-win streak after starting the season by losing their first three matches. Unfortunately, the game was cancelled after constant lightning delays.

Freshman Midfielder Kendra Hoffman booted a ball from 25 yards out in the fifteenth minute of the match for a goal that flew to the top right corner of the net. The goal was assisted by Freshman Forward Julia Martin, her second of the season.

This was Hoffman’s second straight game with a goal. After the weekend, she has finished with two goals and an assist, one on a corner kick.

Redshirt-Sophomore Goalkeeper Rhiannon Conelley was lockdown between the posts, shutting out the Manhattan offense.

Unfortunately, the game was cancelled after constant lightning surrounding the area.

UNF looks to keep their momentum going with their next game at Appalachian State University on Thursday, Sept. 6 at 7 p.m.
